Is This Really The Worst College in Montana? It’s Surprising

For instance, Montana State in Bozeman is perfect for someone who wants to be an architect, study film, or agriculture. The University of Montana has an incredible law program, and Montana Tech is known for its engineering degrees. Every Montana college or university is like that.

A couple of days ago, WalletHub made a list of the best colleges in Montana, but they left out quite a few schools on their list. If you don't know, Montana has around a dozen four-year institutions and many community or junior colleges.

Then we found another list from Alot.com that picked the Worst Colleges in Every State, and Montana's was a bit of a surprise.

According to this list, the worst college in Montana is Montana State University-Billings in Billings.

Alot.com used statistics from the Department of Education, Niches, and College Factual to find the worst college, and these numbers are wild. Around 28% of students graduate, and only 11% graduate on time. Those numbers aren't real, right?

Montana State University-Billings is the only Division 2 program in Montana and is one of the few schools in the state that offers baseball and softball in their athletic programs. The school is known for its business and social science programs and offers several master's programs.

I know several folks who attended MSU-Billings and enjoyed their time there. They've never had anything negative to say about the school.

I don't believe MSU-Billings is the worst college in Montana. When it comes to the numbers, could it be better? Yes, but the school is probably doing its best to improve those numbers.

Don't let this discourage you from avoiding MSU-Billings because it all depends on what you are needing to further your education.
