Hating Tourists in Montana Is Popular, But These People Suck
These annoying people need to know the amount of rage they bring to locals daily.
It's time we talk. We all know how locals feel about tourists who are ignorant and a constant thorn in our side year-round. Montanans have to deal constantly with people who expect cowboys to be everywhere and believe all wildlife is friendly.
Here's the problem, there is something worse than an annoying tourist, and it's starting to become a real issue for me.
Over the past few weeks, I have noticed a surge of folks walking freely in the streets of Bozeman and having no regard for whether a vehicle is coming. I have seen multiple people close to getting annihilated by a truck, and it's wild.
Sure, most of these folks are using crosswalks, but they aren't even looking to see if oncoming traffic is close or if the crosswalk sign has the walk symbol.
The people committing these errors aren't tourists either. Sure, some are from out of state and visiting, but many college students and locals stuck to their phones are at fault too.
This problem is noticeable in downtown Bozeman. There are people on OneWheel boards, bikes, and folks deciding to stand in the road to take a picture for Instagram.
These morons should pay attention to the traffic, hustle across the street, and get on with their day. Drivers have to be constantly on the lookout in downtown Bozeman for people like this, and I am surprised we haven't had a serious accident yet.
Sorry, I needed to vent because it's been getting worse over the past few weeks, and I can't be the only one who feels the same.
Stay safe and keep an eye on all the crosswalks in downtown Bozeman. There might be a person or group not paying attention.
