This trademark case could end up causing more problems than solutions. It all depends on the outcome.

Disputes happen in Montana all the time. It could be over a fence, land, or the cornhole boards in my friend Geoff's house.

Most of these cases get resolved in civil court or mediation. These cases rarely go to court, but when you are facing the government, it might cause problems.

What's the problem? The Glacier Range Riders in Kalispell are upset with the Department of the Interior with their claims over a unique trademark.

This logo deals with an arrowhead emblem.

The Department of the Interior has an arrowhead logo with the National Park Service inside, and the Glacier Range Riders have a similar logo with RR inside the arrowhead.

Here are the logos.

As you can see, they are similar but different. Also, can you trademark an arrowhead as your logo? That's wild.

The Glacier Range Riders joined the Pioneer League, which includes several other Montana teams. The team's mascot is a tribute to the folks who protected the area from poachers and hunters before it became a national park.

The mascot is a mountain goat with a park ranger hat. It's a beautiful tribute to those who protected Glacier National Park.

This case won't go away anytime soon and has gotten multiple federal and local elected officials involved. This case could be in for the long haul.

Do you think the Glacier Range Riders should be allowed to use an arrowhead? Let us know on the app.
