‘Sell Montana’ Petition Gaining a Lot of Traction and Signatures
A petition to sell Montana to Canada has been picking up a lot of steam. Many major news outlets have picked up on the story and the petition has seen a spike in signatures.
When we first reported on the petition, the goal was 7,500 signatures and barely over 1,000 had signed.
Since then, the goal of 7,500 has been met and a new goal of 15,000 signatures has been set.
As of this writing, the petition has 10,939 signatures.
"We have too much debt and Montana is useless. Just tell them it has beavers or something."
The petition was originally started to help the United States pay off national debt which just topped $22 trillion. If Montana were to be sold to Canada, it would mark the biggest land deal since the Louisianna Purchase.
