Some people judge intelligence differently, but Americans might believe Montanans aren't smart. You would be wrong.
Judging intelligence can be measured in all sorts of different ways. Some might think intelligence depends on education and how many degrees you have achieved. Some might think intelligence is all about real-life knowledge and application.
Essentially, intelligence can vary.
Then, some believe that intelligence all equate to your IQ. Intelligent quotient scores can determine whether you can solve problems logically and intelligently. Most folks score between 85 and 112. Anything above you might be considered a genius.
When people think of Montana, they probably think Montanans are below average intelligence. This mindset is due to our lifestyle of ranching, farming, and other simple jobs, but they would be wrong.
What if we told you that Montanans are pretty intelligent? What if we showed you Montana ranks high for overall IQ? You might not believe us, but we have statistics.
A To Z Animals made a video of the Top 10 Smartest States in the United States, and Montana happened to be on the list.
Where did Montana land? Montana was #7 with an average IQ score of 103.4.
Montana was ahead of states like Wisconsin, Connecticut, and Iowa. We were behind states like Maine, Minnesota, Vermont, North Dakota, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts.
Montana is a sneaky place filled with high intelligence. Why? We have some incredible public schools and colleges to educate youth. Then the workforce features engineers, biologists, and other fields that need higher education.
It's incredible to see Montana rank high on this list because most folks think locals are simple and easygoing, but this proves everyone wrong.
