Why Haven’t More Montanans Been On This Popular Reality Show?
For all the reality television shows in America, it's surprising Montanans haven't tried to be on this popular show.
With the strikes in Hollywood happening with writers and actors, many television networks are leaning on their reality television programs. There are so many reality shows to pick from, but the ones people enjoy are competition shows.
Shows like Survivor, Masterchef, and others are beloved by many folks. The only problem is we don't see Montanans often on these programs. We've discussed how only two Montanans have been featured on the popular CBS show Survivor and how we should fix that.
There is one competition show that many folks love but has had contestants from Montana on one season. The show is The Amazing Race.
CBS's The Amazing Race is an incredible competition show where contestants compete in teams of two. Contestants have to travel through exotic locations and complete challenges. The show lasts about a month for the contestants, and they could win one million dollars.
That's why this was surprising to learn. Montana has only been represented once through The Amazing Race's 34 seasons.
On season 15 of The Amazing Race, a father and son duo from Bozeman competed on the show. The father-son team was up against couples and other partners. The show sent them from Europe to Asia to the United States.
The team sadly didn't win the million-dollar grand prize and finished 8th.
If you have ever seen this show, it involves problem-solving, recreation activities, and teamwork. Those are all qualities that Montanans grow up with, and I don't know how Montanans haven't tried to be on this show. It seems like a slam dunk.
If you believe you have what it takes to win The Amazing Race, here's where you can apply to be on the show.
