The man behind the grill? Virgil Sheridan. He's a familiar face to many in Gallatin Valley. A devoted Montana State Bobcats fan and veteran, Sheridan has long been a fixture at MSU football games and community events. But now, he’s ready to take on a new role: pitmaster.

It all started over a few beers and a big idea. After his stepson and a group of investors purchased Madison River Brewing, someone suggested Sheridan should open a BBQ truck in the parking lot. The idea stuck—and soon, Sheridan’s BBQ was born.

Sheridan’s BBQ just celebrated its grand opening, and received a warm welcome from the Belgrade Chamber of Commerce. It's located outside Madison River Brewing at 20900 Frontage Road in Belgrade.

Stop by for some smoked goodness Thursday through Sunday from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Expect all the BBQ classics done right. Brisket, pulled pork, ribs, and riverboat nachos. The jalapeño poppers are one of Sheridan's specialties.=

Sheridan is quick to credit his friends, family, and the local community for their encouragement and support.

“I wouldn’t be doing this without them,” he says. “This has always been a dream of mine, and I’m beyond grateful to bring it to life right here in Belgrade.”
