Is This Montana Father’s Day Gift Amazing or Ridiculous?
Will my father think I am a genius or an absolute dummy? We will find out this weekend.
Father's Day weekend is upon us, and many of us will spend time with that father figure in our lives that helped shape us into the person we are today. Father's Day is a tough holiday because many want to buy gifts for that dad, but it can be hard to find something they will love.
In recent years, my siblings and I have picked gifts from a weekend getaway in Glacier National Park to gift cards, but this year I decided to get something for my dad that he will either love or think I am a complete weirdo.
My siblings and I were discussing what to get our dad, and my sister wanted to get our dad a new kitten because our current cat seemed lonely. I thought that was great until I had a brilliant thought.
My dad's favorite ice cream is Wilcoxson's Mint Chocolate Chip. In Northwest Montana, the only size of Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream he can get is only a quart, and it's decently expensive.
I emailed Wilcoxson's and asked what the largest container of Mint Chocolate Chip someone can buy. I found out anyone can buy a three-gallon bucket of this delicious treat for an incredible price of $38.50.
Today I grabbed my giant cooler, filled it with dry ice to keep it cold for the drive home, and picked up this bucket of ice cream. My mom thinks it's a great idea, and my sister thinks I am weird. Either way, my dad will be happy this Father's Day.
I want to thank the kind people at Wilcoxson for helping me out with this gift. They were super kind and loved my idea. At least I have their approval.
