The Mega Millions jackpot drawing on Tuesday, January 19 is one of the highest jackpots in the history of the game.

The estimated jackpot for Tuesday's Mega Millions drawing is $865,000,000. If the winner chooses to take the cash option payout, the total would be $638,800,00.

According to the Mega Millions Payout Calculator, if you win in Montana, you'll take home slightly less than the amount listed above. Due to Montana's tax rates, the cash option payout would be $527,650,000.

If you take the yearly option, the jackpot will be spread out over 30 multimillion-dollar annual payments for 29 years Each year’s payment is 5% bigger than the previous to help keep up with inflation.

There was a drawing for $750 million last Friday, but there wasn't a winner which resulted in the jackpot growing even larger.

If you haven't purchased a Mega Millions ticket, you still have time. The drawing isn't until 9:00 p.m. If you stop by any gas station throughout the Gallatin Valley, you can purchase a ticket until then.

If you've been dreaming of buying a home in the Bozeman area, winning the Mega Millions jackpot would definitely make it a lot easier. You could even buy a winter home someplace warm to get away during the harsh winters in Montana. Honestly, you'd have a hard time spending that much money in your lifetime. If you're smart with the money, the cash option of over $600,000,000 is enough to benefit your family for generations to come.
