Bobcat Fans and Video Game Enthusiasts Will Love This News
This is fantastic news for anyone who loves college football and is an avid video game enthusiast.
Many folks love playing video games to unwind or have fun with friends. People of all ages play games like Call of Duty or Minecraft, and it's big business. Video games can bring in hundreds of millions, o,r in some cases, billions, with all kinds of special releases or in-game purchases.
Sports games are some of the most popular types of video games that everyone can enjoy. There are games for the MLB, NFL, soccer, and more that people play as a family or online with friends.
There used to be a few college sports games back in the day, but those were discontinued in the early 2010s. There was a monumental court case where video game companies illegally used player's names, images, and likenesses to sell their games.
It was heartbreaking for fans when these games were discontinued. Many loved playing college basketball, football, or baseball and turning programs like Wyoming into championship dynasties.
With the NCAA's NIL deals in full swing, Electronic Arts has been focused on securing rights and creating a new NCAA football game, and it's slated to release in 2024.
Why should Bobcat or Griz fans be thrilled?
It's rumored that even though the game will primarily focus on FBS schools like Alabama, Washington, and Michigan, they plan to add FCS schools after its initial release.
That means you could take Montana State or the University of Montana to the FCS National Championship or move the teams up to the FBS level and make them a dynasty.
It would be an incredible site to see either stadium in a video game and play with the players we all love to cheer for every Saturday during the football season.
More details should come out soon, and we hope to update more info.
