If you want to learn about avalanches and how, when and where they can potentially happen I have great news for you. The Gallatin National Forest Avalanche Center is hosting not only classes but a few friends have made some videos to describe how easily avalanches can happen in our area.

This is extremely helpful for anyone who loves back country skiing, snowboarding and hiking during the winter. Learning about how avalanches happen and how to see potential signs can be crucial in helping your survive.
