Former Bobcat Alex Singleton Becomes Eagles Team Captain

The start of the NFL season is just days away and this is one Bobcat making a huge impression on his team.

406 MT Sports is reporting that former Bobcat standout Alex Singleton was named as one of the six team captains for the Philadelphia Eagles. The outside linebacker has had a long journey to the NFL and has made a big impact on his teammates and coaches already.

Alex Singleton has had a long road to the NFL, he went undrafted in the 2014 NFL Draft and has essentially bounced from several different NFL practice squads including the New England Patriots and the Minnesota Vikings, and even had a brief stint in the Canadian Football League.

Last year, Singleton fought for a roster spot with the Eagles and made the team as a special teams player. Then injuries to some starters thrust Singleton into the starting role and he never looked back. Singleton started 11 games, had over 100 tackles, and even returned an interception for a touchdown.

Singleton is now slated to be one of the starting inside linebackers and will be a huge part of the Eagles' defense. This just goes to show that through hard work and determination you can achieve your dreams and it's awesome to see another Montana State Bobcat reach the pros and show the people what Bobcat football is all about. Plus, this shows that Montana State football players can play with the big boys in the NFL and inspire more players to reach their dreams.
