Family Fun? Here’s The Best Kid Friendly Spots In Montana.
My wife and I recently spent the weekend in Utah for a family wedding, and while we were there had a chance to check out all the different things happening around the Salt Lake City area.
It was a little too crowded for my liking, but it seemed that almost everywhere we went, there were different activities for kids. Amusement Parks, Water Parks, Arcades, Movie Theatres, you name it, they had it.
I know that several people, including a lot of local folks, have said that they would like to see more variety when it comes to family-friendly things here in Montana. Whether that be putt-putt, go-carts, or batting cages, Summer is short here in Big Sky Country, and some would like to see more options.
Having said that, it's not like we don't have some great options when it comes to family fun. There are a ton of things to do that will put smiles on everyone's faces, especially if you love the outdoors. So, let's take a look at some of the family-friendly activities you will find in Montana.
Time On The Water
Montana has a ton of lakes and rivers that are wonderful ways to spend your leisure time. From floating the Madison to swimming in Flathead, there are tons of options for folks of all ages. Whether you spend a lazy day on a pontoon, or you decide to do a little water skiing, you are sure to make a memory or two in and on the water here in Montana.
A History Lesson
Montana is packed full of history from the geological wonder that is Yellowstone National Park, to all of the prehistoric fossils, there's a lot to learn about Montana. Throw in the different Ghost Towns and cities like Butte, and not only can you have a good time, you can learn a thing or two as well.
The World's Biggest Zoo
Montana is home to amazing wildlife. Grizzlies, Elk, Deer, Wolves, Moose, and Sheep just to name a few and there's nothing like seeing them in their natural environment. A day or two in Yellowstone National Park should give you the chance to see plenty and take pictures to add to your scrapbooks, however, don't get too close.
