Bozeman's parents are planning on rallying Thursday in protest of the latest back to school recommendations.  They will gather, with their children, in front of the Willson on West Main in downtown Bozeman to show their views on the blended learning plan.

Here's when Bozeman parents will be gathering:

  • Thursday, Aug. 6th, 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the Willson in downtown Bozeman

Parents gathered Wednesday morning outside the Willson with their children and plan to gather Thursday during the Bozeman School District virtual discussion.

This rally comes on the heels of Bozeman School District Superintendent Bob Connors releasing his recommendation earlier this week proposing a fully blended model for school this fall.

Connors proposed a pre-k 12 fully blended model which means kids will be attending on-campus classes two days a week and will be remote learning the other three days. As part of this model kids with last names beginning with A - L will attend school on campus Monday & Tuesday. Then kids with last names beginning with M - Z will attend school on campus Thursday & Friday. Days students are not on campus they will be remote learning. An option for 100% remote learning for students is available.

The Bozeman School District plans to hold a discussion on Thursday, August 6th at 9 a.m. via Zoom. Comments for the School Task Force can be sent to bsd7reentry@bsd7.org.
