Montana Department of Transportation will be installing guardrails along U.S. Highway 191 between Bozeman and Big Sky. Crews will begin the project on Wednesday, August 14 and are expected to continue the work through November.

They will be closing down one lane in order to replace 29,000 feet of guardrail with a new, stronger and taller railing.  With this construction through Gallatin Canyon travelers and tourists can expect delays up to 15 minutes between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.

The map below shows the area that will be affected by the construction.
