It is not a surprise that when you put a bunch of new people into an area that has weather they are not used to, that they have trouble driving. Fun fact, whether we blame the "newbies" or not, the driving has turned into a nightmare here in Bozeman.

I am not the only one to think this way, I recently wrote an article about a hit and run in Belgrade. If you missed the article you can find it HERE, as they are still looking for the person who hit the car. The comments about how bad driving has become in Bozeman were pretty heavy.

"dash cam....might consider that. My car is currently in the shop in the process of getting repaired due to an accident. There are so many distractions anymore. Cell usage is crazy while driving, speeding everywhere, and my personal "favorite" running amber/red lights. How about a Citizens' Force armed with radar guns with special cameras to get license numbers to assist the official police force during their staff shortage.jus' sayin'-Cindy via Newsbreak

"it is so sad that this is what is happening to our community. I have a dash cam now because the drivers around here have just gotten crazy with no care or concern for the other person. I do believe if the police can start issuing more tickets and driving violations, it will help a little, but police is short staffed as well"

The comments on Facebook are also saying the same thing you can click below and see for yourself.

So here is my question, "What is the reason for such terrible driving?" I have to admit, I have never had so many people ride my tail the way they do here.

LOOK: See how much gasoline cost the year you started driving

To find out more about how has the price of gas changed throughout the years, Stacker ran the numbers on the cost of a gallon of gasoline for each of the last 84 years. Using data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (released in April 2020), we analyzed the average price for a gallon of unleaded regular gasoline from 1976 to 2020 along with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for unleaded regular gasoline from 1937 to 1976, including the absolute and inflation-adjusted prices for each year.

Read on to explore the cost of gas over time and rediscover just how much a gallon was when you first started driving.
