After Nearly 20 Years, A Popular Bozeman Restaurant is Closing
A restaurant that has been in Bozeman for nearly 20 years is closing at the end of the month.
Bozeman is home to many restaurants, but few have been open as long as the Bamboo Garden Asian Grille on Main Street. The restaurant opened in 2003 and has served locals and visitors for nearly 20 years. Bamboo Garden is one of the only Chinese restaurants in town, and the owners recently announced that the business will close at the end of the month.
The following letter is taped on the front door of Bamboo Garden;
Dear friends,
With mixed feelings, we will close Bamboo Garden on August 28, 2022. After working 10 hours a day, 6 days a week for more than 19 years, it is time for us to start a new life. When we opened in 2003, Bozeman was a small town of 30,00 people. It has been our privilege to serve this community and to witness its growth. We will always cherish the joy, laughter, celebrations, and countless other memories that we have shared together. Please come visit us one last time before August 28, 2022. We will miss you. Lisa & John - August 8, 2022.
We reached out to the Bamboo Garden and spoke to one of the owners, John. He told us that someone new purchased the building in July and that he and his wife didn't want to sign a new contract. They determined that it was a good time to retire.
If you want to eat at the Bamboo Garden Asian Grille before it closes, you only have until August 28. We'd like to thank the owners and employees at Bamboo Garden for their many years of service to the Bozeman community.
