This news came out of nowhere and hopefully someone will keep this incredible place going.

Montana Indoor Sports announced today on their Facebook that they will be closing their doors effectively immediately and all of their services and leagues will be shut down.

The reasons behind the closure is due to the fact they weren't able to recover from the financial hardships in the past year and a half from the COVID-19 pandemic and had to make the hard decision to close their doors.

Montana Indoor Sports was a place year round where you could play indoor soccer, lacrosse, volleyball, pickleball, basketball and they even had a playground and batting cages. Plus, they offered camps for many sports for kids and they were very popular with many athletes and parents in the area.

I loved going to Montana Indoor Sports during the winter to use their batting cages with my teammates before the softball season started and I just participated in one of their volleyball leagues which was an absolute blast. Plus, their staff was always extremely kind and helpful.

What I hope happens is that someone will buy the building and keep Montana Indoor Sports going with all of their incredible features. This is a need in the Gallatin Valley and with things slowly opening up and getting back to normal maybe Montana Indoor Sports can get back to what they were pre-COVID.

For now though, we will have to wait and see what happens. Thanks Montana Indoor Sports for providing a great service to the Gallatin Valley.
