FWP officials say that the bird was stuck until the man reached his destination and was notified it was there.

FWP staff Heidi Scharping and Claire Gower carefully removed the bird and delivered it to the Montana Raptor Conservation Center in Bozeman.

After the bird was given IV fluids and x-rayed, it was declared to be unharmed with no broken bones. The young red-tailed hawk will be given a few days to rest then will take practice flights in the flight pen before being released back into the wild.
