Would You Want Your Parent at a Music Festival With You?
I was talking to one of my friends the other day and she was talking about how she and her daughter (who is 16) are planning on go to Coachella next year.
First off, I hate Coachella. It's overpriced, dirty and not worth it. And second, I told her that her daughter probably doesn't want her to go with her to the music festival.
When I was a teenager I couldn't even imagine my parents going to a huge music festival with me, and even if they did they, probably wouldn't want to be there the whole day. I went to a huge music festival in Denver when I was 18, and I remember my dad telling me that music festivals are overrated and miserable. So that was my experience.
They don't want to be in the hot sun dealing with a bunch of younger adults getting hammered and partying too hard. I tried to explain this to her but she doesn't believe me (mostly because she says she is a "cool mom").
So I wanted to ask you, the lovely people of the Gallatin Valley, would you want either of your parents with your at a huge music festival when you were a teenager? Vote below and let's discuss. I would love to hear your opinion.
