Nothing says Montana living more than stepping outside your home and seeing gorgeous views of mountains.

We are an embarrassment of riches in Montana when it comes to scenery. Montana's iconic views include forests, rivers, lakes, and sprawling mountains; some places have all these features.

When it comes to mountain living, Montana has quite a few options. Many mountain towns in Montana can give you instant views every single day. That's why we were surprised to see this list only includes one Montana town.

Money Inc. made a list of the 20 Best Places To Live in the Mountains In The US, and only one Montana town was named. Here's the only Montana town that's great for mountain living.

Whitefish is known as the crown jewel of Northwest Montana. This town has everything a mountain lover needs. Whitefish Mountain Resort is for all snowboarders and skiers, Whitefish Lake is gorgeous year-round, and the downtown area is picturesque.

Whitefish is often named in lists like these, and it's easy to see why. Nothing compares to the scenery in Whitefish. There is nothing but gorgeous mountains and dense forests for miles in Whitefish.

It's funny that only one Montana town landed on the list for best mountain living. Several other spots could be considered, such as Big Sky or Gardiner. The only downside is Big Sky is costly to live in, and Gardiner is only known as an entrance to Yellowstone National Park.

I'm happy to see Whitefish make this list because I have many memories of incredible times in my youth and when my brother lived there. Whitefish is a place that makes you feel welcome year-round and has many fantastic community events. Highly recommend their Oktoberfest celebration. It's a great time.
