West Yellowstone Issues ‘Do Not Use Order’ For Town’s Water

The Do Not Use Order for the Town of West Yellowstone water system has been lifted by Montana DEQ. The Town's water is now safe to use.

The Montana Department of Environmental Quality has issued a Do Not Use Order for West Yellowstone, Montana effective immediately.
West Yellowstone is located approximately 89 miles south of Bozeman on US-191 South.
According to a press release, the Do Not Use Order is due to a potential contamination of West Yellowstone's water system. The order means that the water in West Yellowstone's water system can not be consumed.
Bottled water is recommended for residents and visitors until further notice. Bottled water will be available for pickup between 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. this weekend in the Town Hall South Parking Lot in West Yellowstone.
