Were You Affected By the Capital One Breach?
If you haven't heard, Capital One had a data breach Tuesday affecting millions of customers.
According to USA Today, a woman in Seattle breached into a server that had over 100 million individuals records from social security numbers to bank accounts.
The good thing is from the looks of it, she did this to prove something and didn't share the information and Capital One is taking instant steps to make sure this doesn't happen again and to let know people if they were affected.
Capital One will be contacting customers through several methods of communication to let them know who was affected by the breach and the company will offer free credit monitoring and identity protection.
