The price increase isn't insane and the whole move makes a lot of sense for the United States Postal Service.

The reason behind the whole move to raise prices is to increase revenue for the United States Postal Service and keep them competitive with their competition like Amazon, UPS, and FedEx. Don't be scared though, the prices aren't going way up. Just a little over 1 percent. So not a huge increase but it will seem reasonable.

Honestly, this isn't a surprise by the United State Postal Service. They have been in trouble and been losing money for years and they have been looking at how to make more money.

They were crucial during the COVID-19 pandemic when people needed essential items sent to them in the mail instead of going to the store to get them. Especially things like hand sanitizer, masks and the most important thing, toilet paper. They worked tirelessly in the past seven months and if they want to raise their prices even slightly, we shouldn't even blink.. Raising prices just over one percent isn't even that big of a deal. Their prices are already super low and are extremely reasonable.
