Have you ever done the whole "if I win the Powerball, I'm going to buy..." game?

I have and do. In fact, every time the Powerball gets up to some obscene amount, that's when I go and buy a ticket.  This is kind of silly because that's when everyone else goes and buys a ticket as well, which lessens all of our chances.

As of the writing of this article, the current estimated Jackpot for Montana is 367 million dollars. According to lotteryusa.com, after taxes, if you did the lump sum, you would walk away with 265 million or a little more than a quarter of a billion dollars.

So, what can you buy in Montana for 265 million dollars?

Well, for starters, for 25 million you can buy your own town. Yep. A whole town, just for you. The actual price is 25,525,000...but what's half a million dollars when you are worth over a quarter of a billion, right?

According to Zillow.com, "Montana's largest approved planned unit development" is up for sale. The area is just outside of Three Forks, and I have to admit, it's pretty impressive and it does come with 1600 acres.

Plus, you get plans for a couple of golf courses, 2600+ residential lots, and a whole lot more. Now, you would have to build all of this and some simple math shows that 2600 lots times the median home price in Three Forks comes out to around 1.2 billion dollars, so that's a little over budget.

However, you could sell the lots to individuals and with the current price of real estate in Montana, 265 million might just be a drop in the bucket.

I think I'm going to guy buy myself a ticket.
