With several locations throughout Montana, we could see another popular store close several spots down.
In 2023, we have seen several massive franchises having to close down locations throughout America and Montana. Burger King is set to close down a few spots in Montana due to bankruptcy and Bed, Bath, and Beyond are closing all of their stores.
We now have word of another popular store in Montana might have to close a few locations in our state.
Eat This, Not That reports that the popular drugstore Walgreens announced during an earnings call they will have to close over 100 stores by the end of the year. The reason behind the closures is Walgreens has seen a massive decrease in earnings since 2022 and believes inflation might be a key factor.
Walgreens is a popular store among Montanans for its fast pharmacy, photo drop-offs, and pick-up of health items. Walgreens was one of the first stores to carry and sell COVID-19 rapid tests.
Even though we don't have a Walgreens in the Gallatin Valley area, Walgreens has locations throughout Montana. Walgreens can be found in Billings, Butte, Hamilton, Polson, Whitefish, Missoula, and other towns.
You might not think Walgreens stores are popular but they provide a critical service supplying medicine out of their pharmacies and are usually open 24 hours.
We don't know if any of the Montana Walgreens locations will close yet but as soon as we find out that information we will keep you updated.
