Two MSU Women Basketball Players to Play Overseas
This is always fantastic news to hear.
406 MT Sports is reporting that two standouts from the Montana State University women's basketball team will be furthering their basketball career by playing professionally in Sweden.
The 2019-2020 Big Sky Conference Most Valuable Player Fallyn Freije, will be playing for the Mark Basketball Club of Kinna, Sweden.
Clair Lundberg, who was the 2018-2019 Newcomer of the Year for the Big Sky Conference, signed with the Wetterbygden Basketball Club of Jonkoping, Sweden.
The 2019-2020 women's basketball team had an incredible season, finishing 25-6 and winning the Big Sky Conference regular season crown and were on track to make the NCAA tournament but the season ended due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
This is absolutely exciting for these players to get the chance to keep playing professional basketball. Many Bobcats in the past few years from both the men's and women's basketball teams have gone on to play either overseas in leagues in Spain, England and even play in the NBA's G-League.
This shows many student athletes that strive to play professional sports that many of opportunities that lie ahead could come not just from the United States but from across the world. There are professional leagues for all sports worldwide that could need your services.
We just want to wish the best of luck to both Fallyn Freije and Claire Lundburg on their future in the Swedish basketball league and we bet they will make everyone know what Bobcat basketball is all about.
