Total Dominance. Montana State Comes Up Huge In Homecoming Game
That's four in a row.
Four Home games, four wins, and four sell outs. Throw in the fact that it was Homecoming weekend, and all is well in Bobcat Nation. The Cats put down Cal Poly with a final score of 45-7.
To say that the atmosphere in Bobcat Stadium was electric, would be an understatement.
It seemed like everything was going the Bobcats way, even the weather. What started out as a wet, cloudy, chilly Saturday, turned into the clouds parting with blue skies and sunshine right around kick-off. Montana State improved to 5-1 on the season and 3-0 in Big Sky Conference play. The Bobcats were impressive on both the Offensive and Defensive sides of the ball. Both the passing and running game was effective for the Offense, and the Defense caused multiple turnovers for Cal Poly.
Saturday's game was the exclamation point on a very busy weekend. Friday, the public had their first look at the Bobcat Athletic Complex. The addition has been a long time project in the making, and this completes Phase One of the Master Plan that was introduced back in 2017. Friday night's Pep Rally in downtown Bozeman was cancelled due to the weather, but Saturday morning kicked off with the Homecoming Parade, followed by the game.
The Bobcats are on the road next week as they travel to Ogden, Utah to take on Weber State in another Big Sky Conference game. Game time for next week is 8 pm. They will return to Bobcat Stadium October 23rd to host Idaho State for an afternoon game that kicks off at 1 pm.
