Happy Friday my friends! You will be thrilled to know that today is International Beer Day! This is a great day to explore the different beers and the cultures they come from. Trust me, there is enough to go around and Bozeman has several great places where you can find a large variety of beers to try.

Whether you like a hoppy beer, a light beer, or even a dark beer, today is a day that you can celebrate. I am definitely a fan of different sour beers from local breweries.

Budweiser is the most consumed beer in the state of Montana, which I won't lie, I have had a few of. The best way to increase your "beer pallet," in my opinion, is to get a flight of beer. A flight allows you to try several small samples of different beers on tap.

We like to get a couple different flights of beer when we go out and all sample each others' and decide if there is a new favorite from there.

Whether you are traveling the world, exploring your what your city has to offer, or trying a new local beer from each state you visit, it's important to support your local breweries and give their homemade brew a try.

After a recent visit to North Dakota, a friend had brought over a pickle beer that a local brewery made there. I can't say that I absolutely loved it, but if you are a pickle lover, it will definitely hit the spot for you.

Drink local, shop local, and enjoy a beer on this special day!

LOOK: Best Beers From Every State

To find the best beer in each state and Washington D.C., Stacker analyzed January 2020 data from BeerAdvocate, a website that gathers user scores for beer in real-time. BeerAdvocate makes its determinations by compiling consumer ratings for all 50 states and Washington D.C. and applying a weighted rank to each. The weighted rank pulls the beer toward the list's average based on the number of ratings it has and aims to allow lesser-known beers to increase in rank. Only beers with at least 10 rankings to be considered; we took it a step further to only include beers with at least 100 user rankings in our gallery. Keep reading to find out what the best beer is in each of the 50 states and Washington D.C.
