It's pretty obvious if you are from Montana or even just drive through the different towns, we love our breweries. They are all over the state. In fact, Montana has a total of 128 actual breweries.

With that being said, have you ever wondered how much beer we Montanan's actually drink? How does it compare to other states? Well...it's quite a bit AND we rank pretty dang high, like really high.

According to Visualcapitalist.com, Montana is ranked in the top 5 for beer consumption in gallons per year, per 21 years old or older adult. So where exactly do we rank in that top 5?

Montana is ranked NUMBER 2 with 41.1 gallons! That's a lot of beer drinking! It also states that the beer of choice is Budweiser, so I am guessing that is any beer in the Budweiser family. That seems to be the top beer in a lot of states.

Who is NUMBER 1? New Hampshire with 41.5 gallons, so they didn't beat us by much. We are so used to talking about how we have a crazy high cost of living, and outrageously priced houses, and now we can add that we also have a huge amount of beer drinkers. Way to go, it's better than being ranked in the top two for violent crimes.

LOOK: Best Beers From Every State

To find the best beer in each state and Washington D.C., Stacker analyzed January 2020 data from BeerAdvocate, a website that gathers user scores for beer in real-time. BeerAdvocate makes its determinations by compiling consumer ratings for all 50 states and Washington D.C. and applying a weighted rank to each. The weighted rank pulls the beer toward the list's average based on the number of ratings it has and aims to allow lesser-known beers to increase in rank. Only beers with at least 10 rankings to be considered; we took it a step further to only include beers with at least 100 user rankings in our gallery. Keep reading to find out what the best beer is in each of the 50 states and Washington D.C.

If Mark had a Twitter account, he might tweet about music, and probably about golf, but most definitely, he'd tweet about beer.
