The Bogert Pavilion Shell To Start Getting Fixed
It's about time this started to get fixed.
KBZK is reporting that the Bogert Pavilion shell is finally going to start getting renovated this July.
If you don't remember, back in March 2019 the Bogert Pavilion, which is a staple of the Bogert Farmers' Market and being an ice rink during the winter, the shell that covers the pavilion had a partial roof collapse.
The reason why the roof partially collapsed was due to unbalanced snow load, plus wood that was rotting and de-lamination.
The pavilion, will be renamed the Anderson Pavilion at Bogert Park, will start getting rebuilt starting this July.
They will be installing new steel beams that will be stronger during our cold winters and will last longer than the wood beams that were originally used.
The project is expected to last through September 2020.
They also note that if you are planning on going to Bogert Park, either to enjoy the playground, shoot hoops or go to the Bogert Pool don't worry. The parking lot will still be accessible and won't be cramped with all the construction.
The Bogert Pavilion is a staple of Bozeman and we are glad that it's finally getting updated to last longer for more citizens of Bozeman and the Gallatin Valley to enjoy for future years.
We can't wait to see what the finished Anderson Pavilion at Bogert Park will look like come this September.
