Today is sketchy for most of western Montana in terms of flooding risk. Even flash flooding could occur if Tuesday storms aren't dry lightning situations. It's sort of a 'no win' on Tuesday.
In Shepherd, Montana, the storm hit with little warning, pelting homes and vehicles with massive hailstones that caused widespread damage in just minutes.
This weekend, Glacier National Park and the surrounding areas are expecting a classic "nearly summer" snowfall. Up to a FOOT of fresh snow is possible for the higher elevations above 6,000 feet. Lower elevations are expecting at least a few inches of snow.
Summer heat is settling into Northern Idaho and is heading to Montana. Heat Advisories have been issued for several counties as temperatures to hit 100 degrees or more.
