Gallatin County Sheriff's Office has issued a statement concerning the Valley Center and Frontage Road intersection. New lights were installed at the end of last year and according to the Sheriff's Department drivers are confused with how to proceed through the intersection properly.

As drivers on Valley Center approach the Frontage Road there are two rows of red lights -  One before the tracks and one on the other side.  The series of two lights is puzzling drivers.

According to state law, drivers cannot drive through the first red arrow to proceed to the second red light.  This would technically be running through a red light and according to the Sheriff's Department the right turn on red option does not apply at this intersection.
