Montanans Flying Solo, You Should Look At This Startling News
Who doesn't travel alone these days?
Montanans Flying
It's summertime, and that means everyone will be traveling around.
Many Montanans love going on a road trip, but some of us might want to go a farther distance, and that is where flying comes in.
Montana's airports do an incredible job of having flights either year-round or seasonal to exciting destinations during the summer. If you want to go to a concert, theme park, or explore a new area, there are flights across America to check out.
If you don't have a family or a partner, many of us tend to fly alone. Flying alone can be fun. You don't have to worry about anyone else, and you can make your agenda during your trip.
You would think flying alone would be more affordable, and that was true for years, but that might not be the case with certain airlines.
How upset would you be if you found out airlines charge more for solo flyers? You're about to find out.
Several US Airlines Charge Solo Flyers More
I would be very annoyed.
Newsweek reports that several airlines charge more for a person traveling solo than for passengers who book as a couple.
The reports indicate that United, American, and Delta airlines have introduced new fare rules that require passengers to book two tickets among their cheapest fares.
A travel website analyzed thousands of fares and noticed that ticket prices dropped significantly when booking for two people instead of one.
Why is this happening?
Several airlines have noticed a few trends among solo travelers, including that they tend to book higher-priced seats to enjoy legroom, exit rows, or other amenities rather than bare-bones tickets.
This trend is mostly occurring on domestic flights, so if you are planning an international trip, you should be fine.
The next time you book a flight, see what the price would be if you booked for two people instead of one.
If anything, this could be a good excuse to bring a friend on your future travels. Both can save money and have a fun vacation together.
