Driving conditions in Montana can be downright treacherous during the winter. Roads are covered in snow and ice, and visibility can be almost nonexistent at times.
I live in Manhattan and commute to Bozeman each day for work. Most of the year, I can make it into town just fine, but during the winter my commute can be a real struggle. There's nothing worse than getting caught behind a semi during a snow storm.
Literally, there are times when I can't see five feet in front of my vehicle. Driving during the winter made me understand the true meaning of the term "white-knuckled grip."

What is a Snow Squall?

If you find yourself caught in a snow squall, it's a good idea to pull over to the side of the road and wait out the storm. Don't risk it. A snow squall can be deadly. Just make sure you're well off the road.
