Single And Ready To Mingle? This Bozeman “Lady” Is On The Prowl.
Back when I was in my single days, folks who met up online were considered...well, a bit of an outsider and often thought of as a little desperate.
Meeting someone online and then getting together could totally result in an awkward conversation if someone asked "how did you two meet?" You would then either have to fess up or come up with some sort of creative story that you would both have to stick to.
Of course, nowadays, it seems like that's the preferred way to meet someone.
With things like Tinder, Hinge, and Bumble, there are several different ways to use technology to explore meeting new people. I'll be honest with you, I have no idea the difference between a swipe left or a swipe right, or is it swipe up or down? Either way, it's certainly a whole new world out there.
Having said that, you can imagine my amusement when I came across a post on Reddit from a supposed single gal looking for a "cowboy" here in Bozeman. To quote the actual post:
"Where can I meet strong Montana men? I am a single 24-year-old female and nothing turns me on more than a nice white trash man with a truck that blows coal."
Listen, I can certainly appreciate someone who is straightforward, but I'm not sure this gal is going about this the right way. Of course, even more amusing than her post were the comments that followed. Here are a few of the responses:
"Havre"
"Eastern Montana"
"24? Sorry, You're ten years too old for them"
"If you're looking for a cowboy they don't have time to date. If you just want a guy, they're everywhere.
Women don't have a problem getting guys out here so maybe it's you."
While I question if our 24-year-old single female is legit or not, part of me thinks all of this online stuff has the potential to connect you with some sort of real-life serial killer, which is why if I was single and ready to mingle like our new friend, I'm not sure this would be the method I would be using.
Either way, I wish her the best of luck.
