Sheriff’s Officer Searching for Man Involved in Shooting
Luckily no one was injured in this terrible situation.
Earlier this afternoon at 4:27 PM on August 8th, the Gallatin County Sheriff's received of people being shot at in the Whiskey Bay area North of West Yellowstone.
The victims reported that the suspect pointed the gun at them, then shot multiple rounds from a handgun into the ground.
There are eight agencies and over forty personnel on scene looking for this male suspect.
The suspect is a white male, in his late 30's or early 40's. He was last seen driving a silver Toyota pickup with Texas plates and a sliver topper.
The Gallatin County Sheriff's Office want to make it clear, if you see the vehicle that matches this description to not make contact. Please call 911 immediately.
The male suspect is considered armed and dangerous.
Again, if you see the vehicle matching this description do not make contact! Call 911 please and stay out of harms way.
This is an ongoing investigation and will get updated with more details as the situation unfolds.
I am glad no one got hurt tonight in this awful situation and hopefully they will find the suspect very soon and apprehend him without any incident.
