‘Rick and Morty’ Season 3 Sets ‘Community’ Reunion, More Guest Stars
Guest stars are something of an afterthought when it comes to the sci-fi madness of Rick and Morty, but Season 3 won’t be without familiar voices. Not only will co-creator Dan Harmon stage another Community homage of sorts, but Susan freaking Sarandon will also lend her voice.
Nerdist revealed a portion of new guest stars for Season 3, including ex-Community stars Joel McHale and Gillian Jacobs (though not necessarily together). They’re the first of the original student cast to guest star, though Keith David, John Oliver and Jim Rash have all lent their voices, atop a brief Season 2 gag that showed an alien version of Community. Also heard in Season 3 will be Susan Sarandon, Christian Slater, Danny Trejo and Peter Serafinowicz, though no details of their roles were confirmed.
Elsewhere, we know that Rick and Morty Season 3 will premiere on Sunday, July 30 at 11:30 P.M., likely re-running the April Fools premiere. Prior to that, we’ve enjoyed some trippy promos, creator Justin Roiland getting drunk in the studio, Dan Harmon going deep on the show’s existential significance, and the title adventurers crossing over with Alien: Covenant.
We’ll likely hear more from Comic-Con this week, so watch the trailer below and stay tuned for the latest on Rick and Morty Season 3.
