[POLL] Wear a Wristband to Prove You’ve Been Vaccinated?
On May 13, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announced that people who are fully vaccinated for COVID-19 no longer have to wear a face mask or stay six feet away from others.
People who are fully vaccinated can now go to grocery stores, salons, restaurants, and many other places without wearing a face mask. The new guidelines apply to most places except where required by federal, state, local, tribal, or territorial laws, rules, and regulations, including local business and workplace guidance.
For those who haven't received their COVID-19 vaccine or have only received one dose, CDC recommends that you still wear masks in public settings, at events and gatherings, and anywhere you will be around other people.
Many major companies like Kroger and Costco have lifted face mask mandates for vaccinated customers in response to the recent CDC announcement.
The only problem is, there is no way that businesses can tell the difference between those who are vaccinated and those who are not. One company says it has a solution.
ImmunaBand has created a wristband that will allow you to share your vaccination status, and access your COVID-19 vaccination card using a unique QR code.
Wear this bracelet to work, to restaurants, and to let people know your commitment to overcoming this disease through your completion of the vaccination series. The bracelet is also a symbol of your commitment to safety -- for yourself and for others.
says the company on its website.
The premium QR bracelet will cost you $19.99. A $24.99 Premium Name Bracelet is also available.
As someone who is fully vaccinated, I feel like I've already done my part. Personally, I'm not really a fan of the wristband idea. What do you think?
