Just looking at the numbers and seeing how many less passengers we had compared to years past is staggering.

The Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport just released a report on their 2020 passengers numbers and they are wild. The Bozeman Airport saw a decrease of about 43.5% in passenger traffic in 2020 all thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic. That's about a decrease of over 684,000 passengers compared to 2019. That's mind blowing.

Even though 2020 was an extremely tough year for the air travel industry towards the end of the year they saw growth and the potential of air travel returning to normal. All the airlines have added new safety precautions and the Bozeman Airport added new direct flights from several new carriers such as JetBlue, SunCountry, and Allegiant Airlines. Plus, they finished their new concourse so they can add new flights and help with the huge influx of passengers Bozeman is expected to see in 2021.

The Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport looks to bounce back big in 2021 with so many year round and seasonal flights to new exciting destinations all across the United States that not will entice people to come to Bozeman but will also help us locals get to places cheaper and easier in case we need a breath of fresh air.

I'm personally looking forward to 2021 due to the face I had several big trips planned in 2020 that I had to cancel and I am hoping we can beat the COVID-19 pandemic and get back to normal and go places that we've always to see and experience. Let's hope 2021 is that year.
