One day before the MSU Bobcat football team play the Austin Peay Governors in the quarterfinals of the FCS Playoffs, the MSU Bobcats added a pretty significant transfer for the team next season.

Matt McKay, started five games this past season for the NC State Wolfpack before losing the job midseason. McKay visited Montana State last weekend during the Bobcats playoff game against Albany.

McKay will be a junior and will be immediately able to play.

This is interesting especially with current starting quarterback, Tucker Rovig, is only a sophomore.

Maybe they will use McKay in the same role as Travis Jonsen was used this year. We will need to watch this quarterback competition starting this coming spring.
