Most Dangerous AND Most Beautiful? Check Out This Montana Hwy
Montana has many highways that will bring you through some of the most beautiful sights you will ever see. Through miles of mountains with turns and curves, wildlife, and photo opportunities that only some can dream of.
Forbes and Only In Your State have called this Montana Highway the Most Dangerous in America followed by "Montana's Most Beautiful Drive".
The speed limit, which is posted as 70 mph, is often ignored during the summer and fall seasons, which in part, makes this highway more dangerous than others. We all know, the faster you go, the harder it is to stop suddenly if you come across unexpected curves or wildlife.
Highway 2 has also been called the "Most Beautiful Drive Through Montana".
Highway 2 runs through all of Northwest Montana and into the lovely neighboring state of North Dakota. Highway 2 is over 600 miles; if you wanted to take this road trip through Montana, it would take you a minimum of 11 hours if you didn't stop.
Highway 2 will bring you past lakes and mountains and through some of the cutest Montana towns, including the perfect little mountain towns of Libby and Shelby. Your journey will end when you are going through the last town of Bainville; after Bainville, you will then reach the North Dakota border.
This could be the perfect long weekend road trip for anyone looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of I-90. I highly recommend getting a dashcam so you can capture the changing scenery throughout our beautiful state.
