Credit card debt can be really hurt you, let's improve it.

Wallet Hub came out with a ranking of the States with the Highest and Lowest Credit Card Debts and Montana landed pretty high on the list.

According to the rankings, Montana landed at #11 on the list with the average median credit card debt is a little over $2,500 and it takes over 13 months to pay it off.

That's not incredibly high but the thing that hurts Montana is due to cost to pay off the debt, which can take some time.

Wallet Hub got all of their data from the US Census Bureau, the Federal Reserve and TransUnion.

Credit card debt can hurt a lot of folks especially here in the Gallatin Valley. Whether you are trying to get into an apartment or a car, having bad credit can really affect you.

There are several steps you can take to help you get out of debt but the easy steps to get out of credit card debt fast is to stop eating out, only buy necessaries, only use your credit card for small items like gas or groceries(those things are easy to pay off) and always pay more than the minimum amount.

As much as going out with your friends is always a good time, there's nothing wrong with saving your money and helping yourself get out of debt.
