Every Montana City Has One Of These But Bozeman
Every large Montana city has this summer attraction, and locals love it. So why hasn't Bozeman been included?
Locals and visitors love the summers in Montana. There is so much to enjoy. You can enjoy fishing, camping, hiking, and more. It's all up to you and what interests you.
One thing I love about summers in Montana is the semi-pro baseball teams that play around the state.
The most prominent is the Pioneer League. The Pioneer League includes four teams in Montana. There are the Billings Mustangs, the Missoula Paddleheads, the Great Falls Voyagers, and the Glacier Range Riders.
These are independent baseball teams with players on the cusp of getting picked up by Major League Baseball. The games are fun for families and friends. There is fantastic food, crowd participation, giveaways, and plenty to enjoy.
I've been to games in Missoula and Billings, and the amount of locals have a blast. The games are affordable, and the players interact with kids to give them lasting memories. You can tell the communities love having these baseball games as an option for summer fun.
So, why hasn't Bozeman tried to get a team? It's a complicated answer.
First, where would they build a stadium? Bozeman has zero space to build a stadium. The stadium could be constructed in Belgrade next to the airport. There's space around that area, and it would be a fun attraction for the city.
Plus, could you imagine the fun names we could come up with for the team? It would be amazing.
Getting a team might seem difficult, but Kalispell added the Glacier Range Riders within a year of the Pioneer League becoming an independent baseball operation and has had incredible success. Baseball is growing as a sport in Montana and could help the cause further.
The only thing we need is for someone with money to step up and make it a reality.
