Many fossils are fully displayed at the world-renowned Museum of the Rockies in Bozeman. You can see fossils of well-known dinosaurs like the Triceratops, T. Rex, and more. It's great to see these fossils up close, but what if you wanted to own a fossil?

In the past few years, there have been several fossils in Montana auctioned off that were found on private land. These dinosaur skeletons have fetched millions of dollars, and people are still cashing in.

Listen, we get it. If you found a valuable fossil on your land, you want to make as much money as possible. The only downside is an incredibly rare skeleton found in Montana will never be seen in person.

Sure, the Museum of the Rockies has enough fossils, but plenty of museums would jump at the chance to have a Tyrannosaurus Rex skeleton in their building.
