Montana Animal Shelters Get Huge Boost From Betty White Challenge
Monday, January 17 would have been Betty White's 100th birthday, and many people decided to take part in the Betty White Challenge. In her honor, many fans and animal shelters celebrated her legacy on Monday.
Many animal shelters and rescues in Montana received donations including the Heart of the Valley Animal Shelter near Bozeman. The shelter raised over $10,000 on Monday. So far in 2022, HOV has found homes for 30 cats and 54 dogs. Two cats at HOV, Betty White and Rose Nyland were adopted together.
A huge thank you to everyone who participated in the #BettyWhiteChallenge! We are so thankful for the support from our wonderful community that makes our work, caring for lost and homeless pets, possible. We are off to a great start in 2022!
said Heart of the Valley in a Facebook post on Tuesday.
The money raised will help provide care to over 3,000 dogs and cats. If you weren't able to donate during the Betty White Challenge on Monday, you can still make a donation to Heart of the Valley or one of the many animal shelters throughout Montana.

You can also adopt a pet at HOV. I adopted my dog Bella a few years ago, and she has brought more joy to my life than I ever thought possible. You still have time to participate in the New Year's adoption special at HOV. If you're interested in adopting a pet, you can book an appointment by calling (406) 388-9399.
You can also find pets available for adoption at heartofthevalley.org.
