Gallatin County Fairgrounds Red White and Boom

Festivities begin at the Fairgrounds at 9am with food being served all day. There will be a free live concert at the Fairgrounds from the Bozeman Symphany at 9pm just before the Firework show. Last year I watched the firework show itself from Peets hill which granted a great vantage point of the show as well as all of the amateur pyros around Bozeman. I would recommend taking a blanket, some snacks and beverages to make it a perfect experience. Chairs too if you aren't able to get to the hill early enough to snag a bench.

    Float the Madison

There are talks of floating on the Madison to be banned so get out there and experience it while you can before the worst happens. If you have never been, here is the best explanation of how to get there and back safely. Drive down Huffiene Lane until you get to Four Corners. Keep going straight and the road will become Norris Road. Go just over 16 miles and you will see a turn to the right with a dirt parking lot most likely full of cars. This is where you will leave one car. Then take the tubes up to the drop-in area. To get there go back on Norris Road and drive West just about 6 miles and the turn will be to your left into another dirt parking lot. Load in, lock your car and have a fun safe float on the river!
