If it seems like it's harder to find genuine 4th of July fireworks displays, rodeos, parades, and celebrations - it's because it is. Several Montana towns, however, keep their Independence Day events on point and will not disappoint. Here are some of the most action-packed options.

When you think of a 'real' 4th of July celebration, there's probably a lot of fun events with family and friends. Parades, picnics, dances, rodeos, concerts, parties, and of course - fireworks displays. It's becoming more difficult to find communities that still embrace all the fun stuff that makes the holiday a real celebration.

One of our top picks for the 4th of July is very close to my heart. My family and I spent every summer in the Madison Valley when I was growing up, from about age 5 on. Fishing was the main character of the summer, but 4th of July in Ennis was the real star. GET A FULL LIST OF ENNIS, MONTANA 4TH OF JULY EVENTS HERE.
