Official 2023 Bobcat Gold Rush T-Shirt Design! What Do You Think?

Fans are eagerly awaiting the return of Montana State Bobcat football, and the first game of the season against Utah Tech is only 36 days away. The Bobcats will have a home-field advantage, and the stadium will be a sea of gold for the 2023 Gold Rush game.

Each year, Montana State University holds a competition that encourages fans to create a Gold Rush t-shirt design, and this year, the school received over 60 submissions. If you're wondering why the shirt design is so important, here's a brief description from the MSU website.

Fans are encouraged to wear the shirts to the Gold Rush game at Bobcat Stadium to show their MSU pride and fill the stadium with gold. The Bobcats will play Utah Tech at 6 p.m. Sept. 2 in the first of six home games for 2023.

After carefully examing and critiquing all of the submitted designs, a winner was chosen. The winning design was created by LoRae Hartman and was inspired by the MSU rodeo team’s unique gameday ride onto the field at Bobcat Stadium. Hartman is originally from Buffalo, Montana, and received her bachelor’s in graphic design from MSU in 2018. We may be biased, but we think the Bobcats have the best team field entrances in college football.

I think the beginning of our football games when the rodeo team comes out is really unique to MSU and a special moment for a lot of people I have a lot of friends and family who always talk about that first when they talk about football season. It’s always about the rodeo team’s incredible intro.

The limited-edition Gold Rush shirts go on sale today. Shirts are $15 and may be purchased at the MSU Bookstore and at Universal Athletic stores in Bozeman, Billings, Butte, Great Falls, Helena, Kalispell, and Missoula. Montana State University Gold Rush Game 2022

The day was hot and so were the Bobcats. The first game of the season against McNeese State, and the Bobcats were ready to send those Cowboys back to the south.

Temperatures close to 100 degrees, didn't stop our Bobcats OR their dedicated fans. Bobcat Football brings out fans of all ages to cheer and be a part of a dream for many youth. Future Bobcats right here? I hope so, they already have amazing spirit!

The Bobcats took the win with ease, staying one step ahead of the McNeese Cowboys, the team looked fresh, ready, and the end score proved they were ready to come out on top of the season opener.

With a final score of 40-17, the Bobcats put the southern boys back on a plane with their first loss of the season, and the first win for our Bobcats.

Week two is just around the corner with a home game on September 10th, which also brings the Military Appreciation game. Just one way we love to show our Military Personnel an extra THANK YOU.
