Now, major car manufacturers are producing high volumes of electric vehicles like the Ford-F150 Lightning, and these vehicles have become a new normal anywhere you might be traveling.

The only problem with electric vehicles in Montana is due to long winters, electric car batteries tend to have shorter durations and be kept out of the cold. This doesn't include that Montana used to be one of the worst states for electric vehicles because charging stations were rare.

Have these conditions improved? Yes. Many tourist destinations and populated areas have added charging stations for all types of electric vehicles. So, which Montana city is the most electric vehicle-friendly? There are not many to choose from.

If you are looking to buy an electric vehicle, only a handful of cities in Montana have multiple charging stations. After looking at the U.S. Department of Energy, one place that would be perfect for an electric vehicle and that city is Missoula.

Missoula has 18 charging stations that can accommodate multiple types of electric vehicles. Bozeman comes in 2nd place with 12 charging stations, and Kalispell has 10.

Montana has been steady in adding charging stations throughout Montana. More stations will be added within the next several years, but will it be enough during the winter? That's the real question.
